The consortium of the project was designed with the aim of maximum addressing the situation described above in E.1. The European side is represented by a consortium of universities that have achieved high results in cooperation with employers as well as the orientation of their programs at a high level of practical business orientation. Universities in Spain and France were chosen as reference samples, while the universities of Hungary and Greece are examples of targeted practices adaptation to national specificities. Nice university is chosen as coordinator of the project also due to its expertise of operating a university-business cluster, which represents vital experience for the purpose of the project. Also UNS is one of the leading HEI’ in terms of practical teaching method application, which is also adding extra value to the project goals. On the part of Russia and Kazakhstan universities were chosen from a position of experience in the applying different levels of cooperation with business, as well as practice-method applichation, and also because of their presence in the regions with different levels of economic development, which will help the project at the stage of preparation, and at the stage dissemination.
For example, KazNU strong side in the consortium is very close cooperation with employers, involving regular events like “Career Day”, “Job Fair” etc., engagement of employers, statistical data collecting, monitoring and analysis of labor markets. This experience of cooperation and employers engagement into education process will bring added value to the consortium through creating career guidance tools. ENU participation is beneficial due to its proximity to Asian Pacific Region serving as a bridge among European and Asian universities and presenting different approaches to integrating business practices into the teaching process management. In addition, Samara and Orel HEIs are operating in regions with drastically different economic conditions and specializations, aiding the project with localized down-to-earth application of benchmark methods of business-HEI cooperation. PFUR has a large network of connections between HEIs in both partner countries and at international scale, and therefore have accumulated a vast knowledge base on practical training method application to the aid of the project.
The large international companies (Nestle and OBI) have long lasting connections with PFUR and are involved in the recruitment of students in many states across the world outside partner countries. Companies will provide the professional feedback of the proposed business-HEI cooperation versions. In addition, both OBI and Nestle have their own training premises and techniques that can enter into the final product of the project. The Public associations of NPPM “CDS” and KAZSEE have a possibility to enhance the quality and speed of feedback from the business community and actively participate in the dissemination of the project outcomes. These business organization would be valuable at the preparation stage in the sense of collecting points of view on the business-HEI cooperation methods proposed, and also during the sustainability process as an active participant of the system.
