Short presentation

Nowadays L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University hosts 494 international students, which comprises 3% of the total number. The University is popular for students from the following countries: Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Afghanistan, Russia, Germany, France, Vietnam, South Korea, etc. Annually around 100 students come to ENU in the framework of academic mobility program; they are students from Turkey, Russia, South Korea, India, USA, etc.  The most popular Bachelor’s and Master’s programs for international students are Mechanics and mathematics, Construction, IT, Economics, Kazakh and Russian languages, International relations.

Generally, ENU has become the home of students of more than 20 nationalities from more than 25 countries and we work on promotion of tolerance and friendship between cultures and nations. Thus cultural and language clubs and centre are accessible to our students (Spanish centre named after Rui Gonzalez de Clavijo, Korean club, American Council, Club of Polish Language, Institute King Sejong, Confucius Institute etc.)  ENU has long history of participating in ERASMUS MUNDUS programs since 2007 such as Arcade, Marco XXI, Target II, Euro Asian CEA, Silkroad. It gave opportunity for about 40 students who successfully work in industry, business, etc.

Role of organization in the project

L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University is oriented at the market and the ultimate consumers of the educational services – the employers (enterprises, businesses, state and governmental organizations etc.), that employ our graduates and expect them to have a set of competencies and skills.

Employers set requirements as to the quality of academic programs, while the university in its turn must meet them.

In ENU Employers participate in the whole academic process, namely:

  • in design, expertise and actualization of education programs
  • in organization of professional internship
  • in evaluation of learning outcomes and the level of training
  • in external evaluation of the quality of academic process (monitoring level of satisfaction of the employers)
  • in employment of graduates.
